Kineara is looking for someone who can grow our fundraising potential and engage key stakeholders across the sector, while delivering engaging communications and outreach campaigns that demonstrate our social value and grow our support base. Job Description

Communications:     

• Develop, contribute to and implement impact-driven and strategic communications campaigns that build Kineara’s fundraising capacity and raise awareness of the issues
• Develop brand identity for Kineara’s new charitable arm, ensuring it is consistent across all activities in the organisation, while maintaining Kineara’s overall ‘look and feel’ to ensure coherence in branding, colours, messaging, style and approach.
• Oversee the creation, development, distribution of compelling, impact-driven story-telling about Kineara’s work and beneficiaries using interviews, blogs, case studies, etc.
• Use a range of platforms to distribute print and electronic content including, but not limited to, newsletters, brochures, leaflets, posters reports, e-newsletters, and Kineara’s website
• Work closely with IT and business managers to ensure smooth running of internal communications
• Impact:
• Work closely with Operations Manager and practitioners to embed outcomes, create frameworks for monitoring and evaluate Kineara’s projects; and produce yearly evaluations and Impact Report of Kineara’s services

You will support the Head of Department in organisation wide strategic planning to ensure NAS outputs are evaluated using robust research methods that measure the impact of what we do.

You will manage researchers and be accountable for ensuring a consistent and quality assured approach to NAS evaluation research projects. We need someone who can ensure best practice research and evaluation methods are used in data collection, analysis and dissemination to co-produce impact reporting.  It will be essential that you support other NAS teams to use research and evaluation to measure the impact of their work and influence the future development of outputs and products.

Your focus will be to help to improve the quality of National Programmes and own services, and set standards for others by evaluating training, consultancy and accreditation products. You will directly manage a portfolio of evaluation research projects and coordinate the commissioning of individual projects to external evaluation partners, maintaining a schedule of work for next 3-5 years. 

This is a permanent full-time role working Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.

This is a great opportunity for a Waking Night Support Worker, wanting to gain exceptional experience within the mental health field, based on the solid working relationship with (SCMHT). We have since implemented training directly from SCMHT to support staff with understanding Mental Health diagnosis and Managing Crisis with our customers in-house.

You will be based at Hope House. We have two sites: Hope House and Doddsfield Rd. Hope House/ Place is a 10 bed supported housing service, providing support for 16 customers overall. The support hours for Hope House are 24 hours, 7 days a week, with one waking night.

Doddsfield Rd has 6 independent living flats with floating support.

What you'll do:

- Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader/ Manager.
- Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions.

An opportunity has arisen for a lead Support worker to work within our Sanctuary crisis intervention and prevention service, based in Fore Street in Enfield. We act as a short-term A&E and Emergency services alternative, providing support to individuals in the Enfield Borough aged 18+. 

This role is to provide leadership and support to the Sanctuary team on shift. The role will:

• Lead shifts during the week, providing support to team members via case management support, escalation, Health and Safety guidance
• Support the Sanctuary Manager to embed processes within the service, and ensure that these are carried out
• Work alongside the Manager and team to ensure that the service is operating to high quality standard.
• Provide support in times of emotional distress for clients. The support worker will provide a calm, supportive presence.

 The role will support clients through co-producing support plans with practical and therapeutic support offerings, as well as contributing to the development of a warm welcoming environment and ‘safe space’ to be.

This position would suit someone with a minimum of 2 years experience of working with people with mild, moderate and severe mental health issues.

• Organise online and in-person, internal and external meetings and other events, including booking venues and refreshments, assisting with the production of materials, liaising with participants and speakers, fulfilling mailings and taking bookings as required.

• Keep up to date with the directorate’s activities in order to provide clear, accurate information, and support the process of business performance and impact reporting. 

• Respond to general enquiries in a timely and friendly  fashion, ensuring needs are met, and participate in working groups, meetings, local events or activities as required.

• Maintain digital records on the charity’s data platforms.

We need you to accelerate our impact by driving the translation of early diagnosis, treatment and innovation evidence into policy and practice, through planning, delivery and oversight of a comprehensive, proactive content and comms plan across a range of health professional and health system audiences and channels.

What will I be doing?

• Driving the development of our early diagnosis, treatment and innovation content and resources for a range of health professional and health system audiences, making the most of what we know and have and ensuring key messages are reaching our audiences and having an impact

• Developing and overseeing the delivery of an internal and external content plan, profiling Cancer Research UK's thought leadership across different areas of the cancer pathway and facilitating the translation of evidence into policy and practice

• Building strong relationships with key content, audience and communications teams in both the development and delivery of the plan

• Maintaining oversight of resource development, such as those aimed at health professionals, and ensuring a strategically-relevant and impactful portfolio of content and resources

• Liaising with evidence and health system engagement teams to identify and drive opportunities to support health systems audiences across the cancer pathway, bringing creativity, insight and positivity to the task

• Leading on the review and design transformation of our existing health professional webpages

• Managing communications on behalf of the Strategic Evidence team to key audiences, both internally and externally

• Contributing to content sign-off with a focus on impact, accessibility, tone of voice and design

• Developing and managing direct reports, including setting clear development objectives and appraising performance.

We are delighted to be working with a wonderful membership organisation to recruit a part-time Administrator for an initial period of 2 months, with the likelihood of extending and potentially becoming permanent. The role will be office based for the first 2 weeks and hybrid thereafter. 

As part of a busy team of 4, you will be responsible for administering membership applications and welcoming new members.

Key responsibilities will include:
•  Review and process new member applications, ensuring that applicants meet membership criteria 
•  Welcome new members and establish reciprocal relationships with high value members. Manage all work-related contacts and membership projects on the Customer Relationship Management database and proactively identify and improve the efficiency of administrative processes 
•  Assist in invoicing new and renewing membership subscriptions; produce credit notes and refunds resulting from member enquiries and subscription changes 
•  Monitor and minimise resigning memberships, initiating conversations to persuade them to stay in membership. 
•  Deal with membership enquiries via phone, email, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database.
•  Assist the senior membership officer to embed good practice in customer service across the team.
•  Communicate the benefits of membership to potential member organisations and invite them to join.
•  Direct members to relevant benefits included in their membership, help them navigate the organisation’s websites and resources, and signpost them to pertinent teams and other helpful sources.
•  Manage work-related contacts and projects on NCVO’s CRM system 
•  Download reports and segment data
•  Responsible for ensuring the contact details and activity records within the database are kept up to date and accurate and within Data Protection Legalisation requirements 
•  Proactively identify and improve the efficiency of database processes. 
Skills and experience required:
•  Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, its component parts, and using databases 
•  Knowledge of the voluntary sector 
•  Excellent communication and influencing skills- orally and in written form 
•  Act on own initiative, prioritise a heavy workload, flexibility to manage peaks of pressure and excellent attention to detail 
•  Deliver and sustain high levels of customer service in a pressurised environment 
•  Experience of a demanding and complex administration 
•  Experience of using Customer Relationship Management systems to collect and analyse data and run reports 
•  Experience of providing high quality customer care and successfully dealing with a wide range of people
