As the Events and Community Fundraising Manager, you will play a central role in developing and implementing MK SNAP’s marketing strategies, with a primary focus on events and community fundraising initiatives. You will be responsible for creating engaging campaigns that raise awareness, drive participation, and generate support for MK SNAP. The role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively utilise the full marketing mix to achieve our aim of providing an exemplary education setting for our learners.

This role has been established within SWA core work for a couple of years offering the opportunity to develop our participation work as an organisation and managing the relationship with the Survivor Reference Group (SRG), a group of women with lived experience who offer their invaluable knowledge and experience to our work. This position will work as a part of the Membership Services Team, but work very closely with other teams within the organisation including Policy and Training.

Salary Range: £34,877 – £40,023 per year (pro-rata)

Hours: 35 hours per week (flexible work pattern options can be discussed).

Lancashire Mind is a local charity working to prevent poor mental health. We support people experiencing common mental health conditions, such as anxiety and depression. We do this well on an individual service level, with many of our projects designed with the people who use them but we need to improve how we involve people with lived experience in organisation-wide development plans and key decision making.

To help us work towards our plans for embedding participation, we're looking for someone to join our Engagement and Inclusion Team to work with the communities we aim to serve, with a focus on those who are underrepresented within Lancashire Mind services. The role has been designed to ensure that the experiences, perspectives and ideas of local people are being listened to and acted upon.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working within communities and knowledge of the barriers that people face to achieving mental wellbeing and accessing services. You'll be confident, creative and able to work autonomously in the community, where you'll communicate with a wide range of people and quickly build rapport.

The focus of the role will be to ensure that more people with lived experience of poor mental health know who Lancashire Mind are, what we do and how they can influence our work. You'll work with the Community Engagement Projects Lead to create a range of opportunities for people to participate, including establishing formal structures, for example a lived experience panel and youth advisory group, which you'll design with the people who want to get involved. You'll work with colleagues across all teams to ensure opportunities to influence Lancashire Mind's work are promoted to everyone who uses our services.

The Head of Youth Engagement & Participation is a key senior leadership role at Peer Power Youth. Responsible for leading the youth engagement team (YET) across all aspects of safe and supported youth engagement (individual change) and ensuring youth voices contribute to tangible and meaningful system change (participation/system change).

About the role:

In October 2023, the organisation began delivery of Year 1 of their West Midlands based Environmental Leadership Programme in partnership with the Shropshire Wildlife Trust. The role of the Participant Support and Delivery Officer is to work closely with the programmes delivery team across the partnership on the different stages of programme recruitment, delivery and implementation – all to ensure that participants have an excellent experience with us.

Key areas of responsibility include:  

• Supporting the recruitment and onboarding of Year 2 participants in the run-up to the programme starting in October 2024 and provide a friendly point of introduction for participants onto the programme. This will include travelling to support the delivery of in-person taster and recruitment activities.
• Supporting the participants and managing their experience before, during and after programmes. This will include working with the programmes team to ensure we have collected all of the participant information we need to be able to assess the success and impact of our programmes and will include communicating with and keeping track of correspondence with participants
• Carrying out monitoring and evaluation activities and analysis of data that will help us measure and communicate our programme impact, including data collection (qualitative and quantitative) that can be used to create a programme narrative
• In Salesforce - undertaking data entry and administration including the production of basic reports and the ongoing development of simple automation that helps us streamline processes across the programme and partnership

The Health Link Worker will:

• Provide information for and about carers and young carers to GP practices and health and social care teams.
• Assist in maintaining carers’ information boards in GP practices and at other health and social care locations.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and committed Waking Night Concierge to join the team in East London to support clients medium to high support needs in a supported accommodation setting. 

The hostel offers a range of services to clients at different stages in the process of change and works closely with an adjacent health and advice centre operated by partner agencies. Operationally, the service focuses on promoting recovery, providing assessment, support and resettlement services within a framework of active engagement and person-centred planning. The project is committed to supporting continued client participation in all aspects of its work. 

In this role you will provide overnight waking cover for the service. You will be responsible for providing first contact and safeguarding our clients at night including dealing with emergencies. Other duties include carrying out regular health and safety checks, monitoring the CCTV system and various administration tasks. There is also an element of the role which will be ensuring the environment is kept to a high standard. 

The rota for this role is 4 nights on, 4 nights off, 10.30pm to 8.30am each night of working. 

About you 

To succeed, you will have an understanding of the needs and support requirements of people with complex needs. You’ll also have the ability to establish an effective working relationship with these clients, be client centred and possess an understanding of the issues that affect vulnerable clients. A good level of numeracy and literacy skills and the ability to use your own initiative are also required. ​

The post holder will help to develop and ensure the effective delivery of the community fundraising strategy in relation to generating sustainable income from third parties, brand campaigns and challenge events.

The role will help grow our portfolio of events, working collaboratively to explore ideas and launch new initiatives to help us achieve our mission. The role plays an important part in helping us to meet our fundraising targets by increasing participation and community engagement in our events and fundraising activities.

We are also currently recruiting for a part-time (21 hours) Corporate and Partnerships Fundraiser and would welcome applicants interested in a full-time role (35 hours a week) covering both job descriptions. If this is of interest, please make this clear in your covering letter.
