At Ambitious about Autism, we're currently looking for a Policy and Campaigns Officer to join our team on a part time (0.4 FTE) basis.
The postholder will have a track record of influencing policy and an understanding and passion for issues affecting autistic children and young people across a range of areas, including education, employment, health and social care. You'll gather evidence and data that will influence change, using your written and verbal communication skills to engage with a wide range of audiences on our strategic priorities and raise awareness of our work.
You'll engage with autistic children, young people and their families to understand their priorities and embed their needs in our communications and policy work. You'll identify opportunities to communicate AaA's policy position and respond to these appropriately, working closely with the communications team to draft impactful statements, as well as web and social media copy.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Experience of working in a policy role, ideally in a relevant sector.
- Ability to identify appropriate sources, evaluate and analyse data and evidence to provide up-to-date, accurate information.
- Experience of producing high quality policy-related documents, as well as being able to write engaging pieces for a range of audiences.
- Experience of using social and digital media to develop and promote policy work.

The Role
This is a rare opportunity to be at the front line of human rights research and advocacy, working for a specialist organisation with a long track record in promoting the right to freedom of religion or belief (FoRB).
You will undertake research, investigations, monitoring, report-writing and advocacy on freedom of religion and human rights in Myanmar/Burma and Indonesia.
Key responsibilities (full responsibilities listed in the application pack):
- To plan, organise and undertake research, monitoring and reporting on freedom of religion or belief and related human rights issues in Myanmar/Burma and Indonesia , through regular fact-finding assignments, when and where security conditions allow, meetings with key stakeholders and the development of reliable in-country and external partnerships and collaboration.
- To produce materials, including briefings, reports, documenting and analysing the situation of freedom of religion or belief and human rights in the agreed countries, as well as advocacy recommendations.
- To develop and implement, with oversight from the Asia Team Leader and in close consultation with other key members of staff , an effective and innovative advocacy strategy for the agreed countries, taking into account the regional perspective.
- To undertake advocacy with a focus at local (when possible) and regional levels, including ASEAN, and, in consultation with the Asia Team Leader, work with CSW’s Public Affairs Team to inform advocacy initiatives in the UK, EU, US and with other governments, the United Nations and other forums.
- To organise, as appropriate, advocacy visits for delegations from or in relation to the agreed countries.

The Person

Age UK are recruiting for a Senior Influencing Project Manager on a fixed term 12 month contract.
We will be developing a number of research, policy and practice development projects in support of our new strategy. These include the 'extremely vulnerable people' project and a new partnership researching older people's experiences pre and post an urgent episode of care or emergency hospital admission.
This exciting opportunity will also take on responsibility for managing our response to the Pandemic Inquiry and relationship with the Health and Wellbeing Alliance. This is initially a 12-month role, with the possibility of extending to 24 months depending on project funding.
The successful Senior Strategic Influencing Manager will take the lead in designing and delivering these complex projects, including management of external partners, consultants or agencies and internal teams as required. The role will work closely with the Policy Lead, Clinical Lead and Head of Health Influencing to coordinate and drive delivery of the organisation's goals and strategic priorities across health and care.
This hybrid role, known as a Senior Strategic Project Manager within the charity, offers flexible working between home and a central London co-working hub. Occasional travel may also be required to attend meetings, workshops etc.

The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world’s leading public health universities. Our mission is to improve health and health equity in the UK and worldwide; working in partnership to achieve excellence in public and global health research, education and translation of knowledge into policy and practice.
The LSHTM is searching for a CEO to help in the management of the ‘Resilience Against Future Threats’ (RAFT) Research Programme Consortium (RPC). RAFT is funded by FCDO, and its mission is research that will be of practical benefit to national programmes for the control of vector-borne diseases especially malaria. The Consortium partners are the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, the Centre for Research into Infectious Disease Cameroon, the Institut Pierre Richet in Côte d'Ivoire, the National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) in Tanzania, the Faculty of Tropical Medicine of Mahidol University in Thailand, and the Malaria Consortium. One strand of our work concerns the arms race against insecticide resistance in African malaria vector mosquitoes, and in particular the process of choosing the most cost-effective insecticidal interventions in the face of complex geographic variation in resistance and a limited amount of epidemiological trial evidence. The other strand is addressing the more strategic and longer-term threats facing vector control, including the rise of Aedes-borne viruses in Africa, and the effects of anthropogenic changes in the environments in which we live.
We are looking for a CEO who will join the leadership team based in the LSHTM. This is a senior role with operational responsibility across all of RAFTs activities, including its research, its governance structures and workings as a partnership, its relationship with FCDO and the intended users of the knowledge outputs. You will work closely with RAFT’s two Principal Investigators/Research Directors and provide support to all other Principal Investigators/Directors from partners in the Consortium. The CEO will manage the relationship with the donor (UK Government Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, FCDO) and be the primary point of contact. You will provide strategic Management of RPC governance structures; and actively participate in RPC management meetings with Management Group and running of the Consortium Advisory Group (CAG). You will work closely with the Programme Manager to ensure best practice in budget management, financial probity, forecasting expenditure, and financial reporting to donors, Management Group and CAG.
The CEO will oversee and report on detailed progress against the agreed workplans and logframe, including on risks to programme success and make changes and recommendations as required. You will lead on Lead on active engagement with RAFT’s primary external stakeholders (i.e. the main intended users of its knowledge outputs), including National Malaria Control Programmes (NMCPs) in countries with high burden of mosquito-borne disease, World Health Organisation (WHO), UK Government FCDO etc, so as to understand their research and technical priorities and to coordinate RAFT’s role and contribution. Finally, the CEO will also oversee the development and implementation of the RAFT Communications Strategy and together with the Research Uptake Manager, oversee all RPC communications, data management procedures and engagement of users and policymakers with the research outputs, representing the RPC in public debate and other media.
Candidates must have a higher education to degree level, or equivalent, or substantial relevant experience, experience of managing and reporting on programme grants from funders such as FCDO, EU etc, significant proven experience of financial planning and management including creating and monitoring budgets
The post is part-time 3 days per week, 0.6 FTE and fixed-term until 30 April 2026. The post is funded by the UK Government Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and is available immediately.
The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale, Grade 7 in the range £51,299 - £58,723 (SP 38-43) per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. The Role
The WorldGBC is seeking a dedicated Advocacy and Engagement Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is critical in shaping and advancing our global advocacy efforts, influencing policy, and supporting our network of national Green Building Councils (GBCs) in their advocacy work. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing policy positions, conducting research, and engaging with key stakeholders to promote sustainable building practices and policies worldwide. The Advocacy and Engagement Manger will report to and work closely with the Global Advocacy Director.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Support for the Global Advocacy Director: Work closely with the Global Advocacy Director to develop and implement WorldGBC's global advocacy strategy. Assist in coordinating the organization’s advocacy efforts across different regions, ensuring alignment with overall objectives. Provide analytical support, prepare briefing materials, and manage specific projects as directed by the Global Advocacy Director. Act as a liaison between the Global Advocacy Director and other team members, stakeholders, and national GBCs to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
● Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research on global and regional policy trends, regulations, and best practices in sustainable building. Analyze potential impacts on the green building movement and develop strategic responses.
● Policy Development and Advocacy: Work with Global Advocacy Director to develop and articulate clear policy positions on key issues related to sustainable building and construction and lead advocacy campaigns to influence international, regional, and national policy frameworks and regulations.
● Collaboration: Work closely with other teams within WorldGBC, including programs and communications, to ensure a coordinated approach to advocacy and policy engagement.
● Support National GBCs: Provide guidance and support to national GBCs in their local advocacy efforts, helping them to navigate policy landscapes and engage effectively with policymakers.
● Communication and Representation: Represent WorldGBC at policy forums, conferences, and meetings, presenting policy positions and advocating for sustainable building practices. Prepare a range of materials, including reports, briefings, and presentations, to support advocacy objectives.
● Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the sustainability, construction, and policy-making communities, including governments, NGOs, industry associations, and private sector partners.
Skills, experience and education:
● Minimum of 5 years' experience in policy analysis, advocacy, or a related role, preferably within an international context.
● Deep understanding of international climate diplomacy and national policy-making processes
● Experience managing relationships with policymakers and stakeholders and ability to lead discussions towards tangible outcomes.
● Experience in the design of built environment decarbonisation roadmaps for the public and/or private sectors and project development.
● Specific experience or interest in international work, ideally with a proven record for engaging with a geographically and culturally diverse network of stakeholders.

At Ambitious about Autism, we’re currently looking for a Research Manager to join our External Affairs team.
You’ll conduct and commission research projects, publish and disseminate research findings to ensure we are maximising our reach and impact, and ensure that we are using relevant and up-to-date evidence throughout our work.
You’ll identify key research needs and questions to continually improve our activities and impact for autistic children and young people, drafting briefs and managing independent researchers to deliver projects on time and to budget.
You’ll use both quantitative and qualitative research methods to develop and support co-produced research with autistic children and young people, as well as parents and carers, whilst ensuring that new evidence is embedded into our resources, working collaboratively with the policy, communications, fundraising and service delivery teams to ensure that we maximise the impact of our findings.
The successful candidate will be joining the organisation at an exciting time and this role will play a central role in providing an evidence base for us to influencing Government, as well as enable us to engage media and public attention to our calls for change. It will also look for ways to unlock insight and learning, so we can influence the practice of the wider education sector.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Strong working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Proven experience of managing research projects or programmes within agreed timescales and budgets.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to critique and summaries data and research findings to make recommendations.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex research evidence into forms that are accessible for a range of audiences.
- Ability to effectively prioritise a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for a Senior Policy Officer who, in effect, will be the Campaign’s Deputy Director. You will be involved in all aspects of the Campaign’s work.
You will work remotely initially with some face-to-face meetings in London. You must be able work from a London office in future

In this role, you will support the development and implementation of Picker's policy influencing strategy to make person centred health and social care a reality for everyone. You will be responsible for monitoring policy and political developments, promoting evidence-based policies to advanced person centred care and building and maintaining relationships within the health policy world. You will leave on the development of policy outputs including briefings, position statements and white papers, working with colleagues to build evidence and articulate Picker's messages.
This role
In this role, you will:
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of key health and social care policy and political developments
- Lead on or assist with a range of high-profile policy projects, including the planning and development of projects, and contributing to analysis, writing and publication.
- Identifying opportunities to contribute to public policy debates in health and social care, using evidence from Picker’s work and from the public domain to provide insightful thought leadership.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support policy analysis, responsive policy work, and to enhance Picker’s external profile across various audiences.
- Lead on and assist with written outputs, such as topic-specific briefing papers, website copy, presentations and blog posts to communicate the findings of our work.
- Carry out literature reviews and rapid scans of data and evidence to scope public policy positions on a range of key issues.
- Present evidence and findings (both in writing and orally) about highly complex and sometimes contentious subjects to a wide range of audiences, ensuring an understanding of the subject and issues arising and enabling informed decision making
- Support the drafting of responses to consultations, policy briefings, and other public policy initiatives, including relevant third party publications.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, partners, and collaborators relevant to our policy portfolio, including academic and health and social care policy communities.
- Work collaboratively with other teams, creating strong links between other programmes and projects, to promote the use of services, products and survey findings that improve the quality of healthcare.
About You
You will have:
