To support our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior Trusts and Statutory Fundraising Officer to join our small yet dynamic Fundraising team to help grow our income through Charitable Trusts and Foundations and from Statutory bodies. This is an exciting time to join the organisation as we look to build a future of excellent frontline services and influential lived experience led campaigning. 

You will play an integral role in delivering on generating income to pursue our strategic priorities, managing high-value Trusts and Statutory relationships, joining a dynamic and ambitious organisation with exciting opportunities for fundraisers to contribute to growth and development.

In this role you will:

· Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of £50k+ prospects, working with fundraising and operational colleagues to develop high-value, strategic and multi-year opportunities.

• Prepare and submit compelling funding applications to trusts and foundations and other grant making bodies to grow income.

· Account manages key Trusts & Statutory funders, leading on the development of impact reports, and ensuring a bespoke and memorable stewardship experience by developing plans for key funders.

Would you like to be part of supporting and developing innovative support services for people who hear voices, see visions, have other sensory experiences, altered states or unshared beliefs? We are looking for someone with knowledge of peer support and a range of perspectives on mental health to join our Hearing Voices Projects team.

As an organisation that leads on integrating the hearing voices movement ethos into our services, we have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us in continuing our work.

Among other tasks, you will be required to:

• Work with partner organisations to establish hearing voices peer support groups, in addition to facilitating groups.
• Deliver training sessions and workshops on the hearing voices approach and related topics.
• Offer support to a range of people who hear voices (young people and their families, those in prison, forensic units or Immigration Removal Centres) in a variety of ways (email, zoom, phone, face to face).

You will also be expected to contribute towards the general development of the projects and support relevant data monitoring. Furthermore, it is key that you are able to embody and maintain the charity`s vision and values.

What you will be doing

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced OISC level 2/3 immigration advisor/solicitor to join our pan-London Immigration service in Camden. 

As part of a team of legally trained advisors, you will be responsible for assisting women affected by domestic or sexual abuse with uncertain immigration status. Your role involves managing complex cases and collaborating closely with the team to provide comprehensive support to women as they rebuild their lives.

About You

You will have substantive experience in providing immigration advice and conducting casework, with the relevant Level 2/3  OISC qualification or equivalent (qualified solicitor)  Please note only candidates with the relevant OISC qualification (or equivalent) and legal experience will be considered.

We seek someone who is  with strong caseworker skills, with a commitment to keep survivors at the centre of service delivery whilst also delivering on service targets. You will have a passion for ending violence against women and girls as well as a thorough understanding of immigration law and an understanding of the barrier’s women with insecure immigration status face in accessing legal advice and support.

Rainbow Migration, the longest-running charity in Europe dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system, is recruiting a Legal Officer to advise and help improve the representation of LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum, and help change the asylum and immigration system to one that treats everyone with compassion, dignity and respect.

We are looking for a qualified solicitor or barrister with valid practising certificate, or already accredited to Level 3 OISC, with two years’ experience in providing advice and representation in asylum including working in legal aid.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the legal advice service. Under the guidance of our Legal Service Manager, you will also build capacity amongst legal representatives by designing and delivering training, giving second tier advice and developing and coordinating a network of practitioners working in this area. You will use the knowledge you gain in this role to help deliver Rainbow Migration’s policy work, such as inputting into policy papers and meeting with partner organisations when required.

We will also consider applications from people who do not want to do the policy elements of the job, but to instead focus on first and second tier advice. Please mention in your covering letter if you are applying for this option.

This is a unique opportunity to build on your experience as a lawyer to improve representation across the sector and create change in government policy and practice. You will be supported to develop as a specialist lawyer and in your policy skills.

Responsibilities will include:

· Deliver one-off advice to adult LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum and work with colleagues to refer them to quality legal aid and pro bono lawyers

· Provide casework assistance e.g. helping to prepare witness statements, making referrals to other specialist organisations and taking other urgent steps (whilst not representing service users or maintaining a caseload)

· Provide occasional advice (within competence) on other issues affecting asylum and partnership service users such as asylum support, legal aid, trafficking, family reunion or community care

· Deliver second tier advice to the legal representatives of LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum and other charities and professionals

· Work with the Legal Service Manager to design and deliver training to lawyers, NGOs and other professionals

· Write blogs and articles on asylum and immigration policy and legislation as they apply to LGBTQI+ people

· Contribute to policy and briefing papers

· Assist with preparing guidelines and briefings for legal services and pro bono lawyers

The Legal Officer will not be providing direct legal representation of service users. However, the role includes substantive advice and casework within the scope of legal support and referrals for our service users, as well as merits testing and second tier advice.

Contract Type: Permanent.

Salary: Starting at £40,175, with potential annual step increases up to £44,868 (pro-rata for part-time employees), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, the trustees consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April. 

Location: Remote or from Rainbow Migration’s offices in central London. Hybrid working will also be considered. Purpose and Scope of the Role

To enable and empower newly arrived often vulnerable refugees to settle into their new communities with confidence. 

Postholders will work closely with the volunteers, bank staff and Project Coordinators to provide a wraparound service to our clients across the region. Key elements of the service will include support with welfare benefits/income maximisation, immigration, housing, health, education and employment.

There will be a requirement to record and document contact using online systems, ensuring an evidence-based practice model of working and seamless support delivery for our clients. 

Main duties and responsibilities 

Manage a caseload of clients/households:

· Provide initial reception and orientation at client’s homes and within their local community settings 

· Carry out a holistic needs assessment and prepare a Personal Integration Plan with every household on a quarterly basis, preferably in the clients homes.

· Negotiate specialist intervention with external agencies as appropriate according to the client’s needs. 

· To be the lead contact for all agencies and responsible for coordinating support for your key clients.

· To work with families in a variety of locations such as within their home, RMC premises, on outreach and via digital means.

· To jointly agree a plan leading to beneficiary independence and service exit as per project requirements

· Where possible deliver the service in a community language

· To deliver a comprehensive action plan for welcoming the refugees from preparation prior to arrival and support for the first year. This includes but is not limited to: 

· Housing situation and housing/tenancy related goals and checking suitability of accommodation with relevant hosts, landlords and/or any other housing partners.  

Welcoming families upon arrival

· Registering with GP’s, dentists and opticians; attending medical assessments and appointments; securing appropriate specialist medical care and liaising with different health services; 

· Working with Social Services to ensure all special needs are addressed; 

· Registering for Biometric Residence Cards and ensuring that immigration paperwork is correct and any errors or discrepancies are reported to the relevant Home Office department by an OISC qualified adviser from the wider team.

· Ensure the Home Office is notified if BRP cards are not issued within the timescales set out by Home Office service standards.

· Ensure that all newly arrived are given immigration advice as required by referring them to an OISC qualified advisor within RMC.

· Ensure that every newly arrived adult above the age of 18 has access to their own bank account.

· Ensuring that refugees understand their financial rights and responsibilities

· Complete a full Entitled To calculation with all newly arrived households and apply for relevant welfare benefit provisions from DWP and HMRC.

· Support refugees with mandatory reconsiderations as required.

· Support with access to individual grants if required.

Safe Passage International (SPI) is recruiting a Head of UK Legal Team to lead our ground-breaking legal work in the UK. The UK Legal team works to ensure that safe routes exist for all people seeking asylum. The team specialises in providing free legal advice and representation to unaccompanied children and families seeking asylum in the UK.

The Head of UK Legal Team will be a UK-based qualified solicitor or barrister or OISC Level 3 accredited caseworker or IAAS Supervising Senior caseworker with experience of working within the UK in a legal capacity, specifically in the area of asylum, immigration and refugee family reunion.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a high performing team of immigration lawyers, casework supervisors, and caseworkers. The Advice Centre at The Harbour Project is the heart of the charity. We are recruiting a part time Advice Worker – Asylum Support, £37,616 pro rata, hybrid working,

We are seeking an experienced Asylum Support Advice Worker to help deliver our new maternity health justice partnership targeting refugee and asylum seeking women in Greater Manchester and East Cheshire.

About Maternity Action

Established in 2008, Maternity Action protects and strengthens the rights of pregnant women and new parents to employment, social security and healthcare, irrespective of migration status.

We employ specialist employment and asylum/immigration lawyers who represent women who experience maternity discrimination at work, difficulties in accessing maternity pay and benefits or are wrongly charged for their NHS maternity care. We provide second tier advice to NGOs on housing and subsistence for refugee, asylum seeking and migrant women. We support strategic litigation within our areas of expertise. Our policy and campaigning work is driven by the injustice we see from our advice services. We prioritise issues affecting low income and marginalised women, including migrant and asylum seeking women.

Maternity Action has grown over the past four years and we are now a team of 26. We are passionate about our work, but we are committed to our staff having a genuine work life balance. The majority of our employees have some form of caring responsibilities and Maternity Action is a genuinely flexible employer. 22 of our 26 staff work part time and staff are located across the UK. We have recently expanded our operations and have developed two Health Justice Partnerships with NHS Trusts.  We are funded by a variety of large charitable funders, smaller grant making organisations and unions.

About the role

We have secured funding for a 12 month pilot maternity health justice partnership targeting refugee and asylum seeking women in Greater Manchester and East Cheshire.  This is the first UK maternity health justice partnership targeting this group of women.  We have an existing maternity health justice partnership in Greater Manchester and East Cheshire which advises on employment rights, maternity pay and mainstream benefits.

You will deliver advice to pregnant women and new mothers on Home Office support and healthcare entitlements and provide ongoing advice and support where needed.  You will also refer to other support services as needed, including food banks, baby banks and community groups.  You will deliver outreach and engagement sessions to maternity services and voluntary organisations, working with our Outreach and Engagement Officer.  You will also contribute to the development, monitoring and evaluation of the pilot. The role will keep up to date with asylum support and related developments.

This role forms part of our Immigration and Asylum Advice team, which is led by our Senior Legal Officer.  The team consists of a Legal Officer, Senior Project Officer and Casework Support Officer.  The role will coordinate with the advice and outreach workers delivering our employment and benefits maternity health justice partnership in the region.

About you

We are looking for an experienced adviser with a thorough knowledge of asylum support and experience of liaising with the Home Office and Migrant Help.  You will have experience of delivering complex advice, preferably by telephone, of advocating on behalf of vulnerable client groups and working with interpreters.  You will have an excellent phone manner and the ability to deal with discussions of sensitive health issues.

Working arrangements

SWAP is a charity providing support to asylum seekers and refugees living in the Wigan Borough.  We deliver a number of key services that include English classes, a Women’s Group and a case work service.  This post has 4 key functions:

1. Provide 1:1 advocacy and case work support to asylum seekers and refugees. 

2. By adopting an Outreach Model, make contact with people currently not accessing services, especially those living in outlying neighbourhoods.

3. Keep up to date on emerging needs and re-prioritise tasks accordingly.

4. Work in partnership with specialist support agencies to ensure asylum seekers and refugees receive services that address their needs.

The issues affecting asylum seekers and refugees are constantly evolving, and will require the worker to be adaptable, flexible and responsive.  For example, refugees are currently experiencing exceptionally high levels of homelessness, so this will be a current priority.  However, if homelessness reduces then project resources will be targeted elsewhere.  The post will operate from SWAP.s main base in Wigan, our Leigh Hub and community venues as directed by the needs of asylum seekers and refugees, including venues run by partner agencies.  The post is currently funded for two years.

Key duties and responsibilities

· Provide 1:1 case work support to asylum seekers and refugees living in the Wigan borough.
